Creator Scout Policies

1Data We Store

When you connect your Instagram account to Creator Scout, we store the following data:

• Instagram username — your public @handle
• Follower count — total number of Instagram followers at time of last sync
• Engagement metrics — average likes per post, average comments per post, and calculated engagement rate based on your most recent posts
• Access token — an OAuth access token issued by Meta, used to fetch updated metrics on your behalf. This token is stored encrypted and is never shared with third parties.

You can request deletion of your Instagram data from Creator Scout in any of the following ways:

3What Happens After Deletion

Once a deletion request is received or a disconnect is triggered:

• All Instagram data stored by Creator Scout — including your username, follower count, engagement metrics, and access token — will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days.
• Your Creator Scout profile will no longer display Instagram-verified statistics. You can still use Creator Scout with manually entered stats.
• A confirmation email will be sent to the email address on your Creator Scout account once deletion is complete.
• Deletion of Instagram data does not delete your Creator Scout account. To delete your entire account, contact privacy@creatorscout.in.

4Automatic Deletion via Meta

When you remove Creator Scout from your connected Instagram apps, Meta sends an automatic data deletion request to our servers. We process these requests automatically — no manual action is needed on your part.

You can verify the status of an automatic deletion request by emailing privacy@creatorscout.in with your Instagram username.
