How does the fake follower checker work?
This tool scores an Instagram account across 7 signals: follower/following ratio, engagement rate, post count, account age, profile picture presence, bio presence, and verified badge. A score above 80 indicates a highly authentic account; below 40 suggests significant fake follower activity.
Why check for fake followers?
Brands lose money when they pay for collaborations with creators who have artificially inflated follower counts. A creator with 100K followers but only 0.2% engagement is likely to have purchased followers or bot activity. Checking engagement rate relative to follower count is the strongest signal of audience quality.
